3. The Day My Mom Died

When my mom died, I was indifferent. I was in foster care at the time from events my mom orchestrated (Another post for that story). My eldest brother (nicknamed Max) came by the day after she was found dead. I remember being half asleep and my foster mom was so upset at the news that I didn’t have time to use the restroom when I woke up.
